I would like to save money on groceries by eliminating unnecessary spending at the grocery store. I can accomplish this by creating a monthly grocery budget and sticking to a list of essential items.
You can do it! It'll be hard at first with impulse buys, but you can do this. Just make that list and stick to it!Sam R. from Freeport, ME
You definitely can do this!! Try more store brands for everyday items; you'll find the quality better than you think in most cases. When possible switch to Store Brands instead of name-brand items; save your money for those things for which you cannot find an acceptable store brand replacement. Also, if you have a close friend who lives near you, try shopping together at places like Sam's, Costco, Trader Bill's, etc., and split the cost on items bought in bulk. One friend and I even extend this to meat and grocery items, and it saves us a TON each month.Susan W. from Troy, MO
Save Money While Still Eating Healthy Foods
I would like to set a monthly grocery budget in order to reduce unnecessary spending at the store. Using healthy ingredients to prepare meals at home can help me avoid expensive convenience items.
AnswerStop and Shop does double coupons up to 1 dollar and then they take the rest of the coupons at face value. If you were to buy 5 products with 5 coupons they would double the first one to 1 dollar and take the 5th one at face value.Gail M. from Des Moines, IA
Do newspapers ever have grocery coupons that you can use for fruits and vegetables?
AnswerNewspapers often run special deals on fruits and vegetables, and it is not unlikely to find the occasional coupon as well. You may also print online coupons from http://printablecouponsanddeals.com/Category/fresh-fruit-and-vegetables for your fresh fruits and vegetables.Angela H. from Oxford, NC
